All of this can of course be applied to almost any type of bet. For many sports betting enthusiasts, it is first of all important to develop a consistent strategy in order to be successful in the long run at 22Bet.
This is connected with the fact that one also considers whether one goes consistently on single bets or gladly predominantly combination bets are to be played.
Although combination bets are very popular due to the odds multiplication and are also often played, we want to show in this article that they are in the long run – despite partial large profits – at a disadvantage compared to single bets! Often the advantages of combination bets are glossed over and the risks are unfortunately underestimated. We try to show what to look out for and how to approach single and combination betting!
THE CLASSIC WAY TO BET: SINGLE BETS
With odds the single bet is tipped quite classically on an event. In soccer, this would usually be the final score (1-X-2). Very popular are also Over and Under bets, the double chance (1X or X2) and also special events, such as “Who leads at half-time?”, “Who scores the first goal?” or whatever else there is. Meanwhile, the betting providers have a wealth of great offers, so there should normally be something for everyone! In other sports such as basketball, tennis, ice hockey or handball are adapted special bets analogous to this!
With single bets you simply bet on one event, e.g. on an Under 2.5 goals bet on the Italian city derby between Inter Milan and AC Milan at 1.90 odds! With a bet of €50 you can expect a profit of €45 on a result with less than 3 goals, otherwise the money is gone – it’s that simple! In this case, for the Under 2.5 goals bet, this covers the results 0-0, 1-0, 0-1, 1-1, 2-0 and 0-2, which is still six events. No matter how the match ends, if one of these events is true, the bet is won!
Single bets are therefore very clear and easy to understand and actually also the basic structure of professional gamblers. The point is to have such a hit rate after a large number of bets with regard to the betting odds that you are in the plus overall after deducting the stakes. Only then is the betting strategy successful and this is most easily achieved with single bets! Only rarely are combination bets played by experts and that only by special justification. If the single bet is lost, then you can quickly make up for the loss by winning a single bet. Not for nothing one speaks with the single bet of the simplest form of betting!
Opposite to this is the combination bet, which is heavily advertised by the betting providers. Higher winnings and more thrills are promised – at least the latter is correct. The thing with the winnings can perhaps be applied to a single ticket, but in the long run, combination bets are not really profitable
